One Big Step Forward
Posted at 08:05 PM

It's been some time since I last wrote, but things have been quite hectic at work since my trip to White Beach. I've been going earlier to work than usual and I've finally had to courage to shell out money for a big-ticket investment - buying my own car! I couldn't sleep for days just contemplating whether I should give buying a car a go, but I did it. I bought a second hand 2004 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6G from a family who's in the same industry as I am. I'm thankful to God that He let me meet an honest seller who wouldn't dupe me, but would instead be of great help and source of wisdom to me. I learned a lot from their stories and advices during our 3-hour chat upon meeting for the first time in a coffee shop. The second and last time we saw each other was four days later at the bank where I paid them in cash in front of the bank manager and that was it. I'm so proud of myself for actually being able to pull this off - shelling out the money I've been saving for more than two decades on a good investment. I think of this as a blessing from God that I'm now an adult who's capable of making wise decisions and sound judgments.

I bought my first car seat set a week ago, the rain gutter is soon-to-follow. I guess my dad's right when he told me to install a rain gutter asap, but I didn't make it a priority so the heavy rain pour earlier today really made me paranoid as I thought it would destroy the car interior. Tsk.
