L'Oreal Purezone Toner & Maybelline Sky High Curves Mascara Posted at 12:06 PM L'Oreal Purezone Toner I've been using this toner religiously for about two weeks now and I'm definitely a convert. I immediately felt the change in my skin when I first used it. After lathering and rinsing my facial wash (I use several - Linda Cantello, Olay Clarity Fresh Cleanser, Nivea Hydro Balance Foam, Nivea Whitening Foam, Cetaphil, and Nivea Oil Control Facial Wash), I rinse my face with L'Oreal Purezone Toner using only a small quantity on the palm of my hand then rinse it off. After patting my face dry with a soft towel, I always always notice the tighter skin and smoother finish. I also saw a change in breakouts because I now seldom have them. Hmm. And though I have a huge zit right smack in the middle of my chin I still blame it on stress and work pressure. ![]() Maybelline Sky High Curves Mascara I'm not exactly a huge fan of mascaras, but decided to try this one on a whim while on a shopping spree. I still can't say that I'm crazy about this product because while it gives my peepers more appeal, it can get pretty gunky. I like how it draws more attention to the eyes (much like the eyeliner which I don't use), but there was this one incident where my brother asked me what the hell is up with my lashes cos they seemed of of control. Out of a 10, I'd give this a 6. I've tried Bobbi Brown's No Smudge Mascara and it's just incomparable. It made my eyes look vavavoom, it was crazy! ![]() |

Beach Trip Posted at 06:49 PM in leisure & travel I'll be off to the beach this weekend so my hopes of finally having the Sunday off to blog is gone. I'm pretty excited and I've actually begun mentally choosing the stuff I'd be bringing along since I got the invite which was around midnight last Monday. I dashed home from work and hurriedly took pictures since I have to pack my stuff and get myself prepped for the early morning trip. Moving on here are some of the stuff I'd be bringing along (for the 2day&1night beach trip). It's probably a lot, but I'd rather bring loads of stuff to choose from rather than regret not bringing things later on. Plus, I love the thought of having to just pick what I please and I haven't gone to the beach in ages (translated to 3 years I think) so this is very special. The beach, from what I've read and been told, isn't all glamorous and fantastic, but never mind that. I just need this r&r so bad. I'll tell you more about the details when I return. Here are some of the stuff I've yet to pack: tees, board shorts, carnation pink infinity wrap (or sarong), straw hat, nautical top, Bergdorf Blondes by Plum Sykes, Red Bull energy drink cotton halter tees, hot pants, sunglasses, and some beauty essentials beauty loot includes: perfume, 3 sunblocks (2 for the body and 1 for the face), 2 shimmers from Body Shop, bronzer, 2 lip glossies, 1 lip balm (my fave! - minty lip balm with SPF15 from Bobbi Brown), 1 lip treatment from Linda Cantello (very moisturizing and heavy on the lips), and body moisturizer (which is also my fave from the Escada Sentiment line) sunnies again, hot pink flimsy kaftan (terrible picture, but the sequins are really pretty), unitard from Folded and Hung by Jenni Epperson (I bought this last year, but haven't gotten around to wearing it - I haven't even removed the tag yet haha) 4 bikinis for a 2-day beach trip is probably a little too much for some, but not to me. i wanna be able to choose which I'd like to wear and bask by the beach knowing that I chose to wear the right one. clockwise from top left: plain black bikini from Kamiseta (I purchased this last year, but like the unitard, I haven't gotten the chance to wear it yet); white sequined flipflops and pink flipflops (both from Tiendesitas tiangges); gold bangles; chandelier earrings; silver&gold metal bangle; white&blue striped maillot from Freeway (it's a new design. I think it was just displayed last week or the week before that); black string bikini also from Freeway (I bought it at the same time as the striped one); more books (The Modern Girl's Guide to Life by Jane Buckingham, The Unwanted by Kien Nguyen, and Anton Chekov's short stories (which I've been scrimping on reading since I don't want to finish it yet, I love Anton Chekov and Leo Tolstoy); blue bikini with beach print is from U by Hindy Tantoco (Rustan's); pink Hello Kitty towel in all pictures is from my Auntie Ling who gave it to me way back in High School |
